Dutch authorities propose banning non- Dutch citizens from coffeeshops where marijuana and hashish can be purchased. I laughed my ass off when I heard this because number one on the calculating Dutch mind is profit. So while the proposal sounds good and Christian to everyone convinced pot is the Devils smoke, mathematics determine Dutch destiny. And the hundreds of millions of dollars generated by tolerating the possession of and the smoking of marijuana in the Netherlands has brought an avalanche of tourism to a city usually drenched in cold rain. Even in the worst of months, hotels brim with the occupancy of tourists eager to sample the product found in Amsterdam’s always busy coffeeshops.

I wouldn’t worry about not being a Dutch citizen and not being allowed in the coffeeshops. Pigs will fly bombing missions in Libya before that plane leaves the runway.
